Founder - Alice Collier

You won’t see a halo, nor will you find any hint of wings, yet Alice Collier is clearly seen as an angel ~ a caring person clearly sent from above ~ helping scores of troubled single mothers with children. “You have touched my heart in a way I cannot describe” says a single mother named Pam. “Thank you so much for coming into my life. I believe that God sends angels to our lives everyday” adds Anna, another single mom.

Alice appreciates the heavenly compliments but dismisses them quickly. She believes that helping these families down on their luck is “my purpose in life…something I was born to do…nothing more.” The reward for Alice is knowing that she’s making a difference in the lives of single-parent families. Nevertheless, Alice Collier is held in high esteem…and for good reason. Alice is the inspiration and visionary behind Angels Trace.

The concept came to Alice as a vision in 1995 in the aftermath of the horrific deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and the two young sons of Susan Smith who were drowned. Since that time, it has been her deepest desire to provide support to women and their children who find themselves in seemingly desperate situations with no hope.

“I know, first hand, what it is like to experience the pain of death, divorce, financial loss, and loneliness” says the single mother of three sons. Buoyed by an unwavering faith in God, tremendous courage, and the support and guidance of “amazing female mentors,” she embarked on a new life of hope and found it. Alice says “these experiences have given me a clear perspective on the restorative power that exists within all of us ~ a perspective that serves as the foundation of Angels Trace.”

If her face looks familiar it may be because you remember seeing Alice on local television either on WFTV Channel 9 or WMFE-TV Channel 24. As a former TV news anchor/reporter and TV talk show host, Alice has earned several awards over her illustrious 15-year career…a career highlighted by face-to-face interviews with United States Presidents, Vice Presidents and numerous celebrities.

Over the years Alice’s work and community largesse have touched and influenced the lives of many. Now she’s in a position to do even more through Angels Trace…One step at a time…of course!
